FacilitiesStudents at Sacred Heart College enjoy one of the best educational sites in the country ... 22 hectares (55 acres) of rolling grounds frame a sea view, and school buildings are set along a ridge overlooking this tranquil scene. As well as standard classrooms there are specialist rooms for Art, Science, Music and Information Technology. There is a large Assembly Hall, a tiered Auditorium, Chapel, Gymnasium, Aquatic Centre and outdoor swimming pool as well as tennis courts and multiple fields for sport and recreation. Accomodation for 170 is provided in the Hostel that is also located on site. There is a new dining room and meals can be provided as required. ChapelThe original Chapel has been beautifully redesigned and is the centre for prayer and liturgies within the College. The Blessed Sacrament Chapel is to one side of the main building and provides a tranquil space where students, staff, Brothers and visitors can pray.-
The half-round shape gives everyone a clear view of the altar. Accommodating up to 500 people, the Chapel also provides a space for special gatherings, with moveable seating and staging that can be configured in various ways. It is equipped with a state-of-the-art sound and video system providing superb acoustics and visual capabilities.
The original organ remains from the old Chapel and is complemented by a baby grand piano, a gift from the Friends of Sacred Heart.The Chapel may be booked for weddings and events suited to the sacred nature of the building.

The facilities offer Sacred Heart College students opportunity for a variety of swimming and aquatic-based programmes. Boarders also have access during public swimming hours throughout the week and weekends.
Outside of the College, the Aquatic Centre has three main user groups:
Other users include local schools and community groups who use the facility as a training and/or competition venue. All of the pools are also available for hire throughout the year.
PUBLIC SWIMMING HOURS:
Main Pool: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 4.30pm 6pm.
Small Pool: Saturday 1pm 4pm. Sunday 12noon 3pm. Primary School Holiday Weekdays 3pm 6pm

Holiday ProgrammeWe operate a School Holiday Programme for children in the local community during each primary school holiday period. The programme is for children aged 5 -12 years and operates Monday to Friday between 8.45am-3.30pm. The children participate in a wide variety of activities including sports, cooking, arts & crafts, and aquatic activities.
The programme is based in the gymnasium with the children utilising the Aquatic Centre during the day. Enrolment options include half day, full day or full week.

The Gymnasium is fully utilised by Sacred Heart students during the school day. Community groups are able to book the facility outside of school hours.
The Gymnasium is surrounded by 22 hectares of sports fields and training areas. Virtually all sports are catered for with six rugby fields, three soccer fields, six cricket fields (including four artificial pitches) and one artificial hockey surfaces.
The facilities can be hired in various combinations depending on what your team / group requirements are.

Auditorium and HallThese are two large public presentation facilities handily located in the heart of the school.
The auditorium has tiered seating for 230 people, and a state-of-the-art multimedia system. It is frequently used for specialist presentations, both by the school and outside users.
Adjacent to the auditorium is the school, which has a fixed stage and easily seats 300 people.
