A reminder that the Eastern Zone finals are on this Saturday, 19 June, from 7pm at Botany Downs College.
Tickets cost $15 from the Botany RockShop or $20 on the door.

He did it! Congratulations to the fabulous musical talent that is Massad Barakat-Devine.
Competing against an impressive line-up at the Auckland Central Final, Massad gained second place. This entitles him to compete in the National Final, on 11 September in Hamilton. This is a first for SHC rock musicians and we are immensely proud of him.
Also, further congratulations are in order for HeyHey PayDay! (Gregory Chang – vocals/rhythm guitar, Bryon Terris - drums, Thomas Plank – bass guitar and Nicholas Davies – lead guitar) and The Black Jacks (Saua Leaupepe – vocals, Harry Glynn – drums, Matthew Kirk – bass guitar and Brendan Ford – lead guitar).Both bands have progressed to the Eastern Final, to be held on 19 June at Botany College.

Congratulations to Massad Barakat-Devine who won on Saturday, 8 May, won through to the Auckland Central final of the Smokefreerockquest. Out of more than 50 competitors, only 14 reached the final. The judges remarked that Massad offered a "great musical performance".
The final takes place on Saturday, 22 May from 7pm at the Dorothy Winstone Centre, Auckland Girls Grammar. Tickets cost $15 from the Rockshop, and $20 at the door. It is a tradition that SHC students support our finalists.
