AchievementsAchievements | Academic Institute | Year 7 & 8 Programme | Years 9-13 ProgrammeSacred Heart College performed well above national averages at all levels of NCEA in the 2009 examinations. Nationally SHC students have achieved at a level that is more than 30% better than all boys across New Zealand and 25% above all other boys schools (state, private or integrated) in New Zealand. The scholars of 2009 were certainly true to last year's focus pillar of 'Commitment to Diligence'. NCEA Levels 1-3Level 189.9% Achieved, compared with 63.1% (national), and 67.4% (boys’ schools) 29.6% Achieved with Merit, compared with 17.2% (national) and 18.7% (boys’ schools) 12.2% Achieved with Excellence, compared with 5% (national) and 4.6% (boys’ schools) Level 2 93.3% Achieved, compared with 65% (national) and 66.3% (boys’ schools) 25.6% Achieved with Merit, compared with 12.7% (national) and 12.1% (boys’ schools) 13.4% Achieved with Excellence, compared with 3.7% (national) and 3.1% (boys’ schools) Level 3 80.9% Achieved, compared with 51.5% (national) and 51.2% (boys’ schools) 18.4% Achieved with Merit, compared with 11.1% (national) and 10% (boys’ schools) 5.7% Achieved with Excellence, compared with 2.7% (national) and 2.8% (boys’ schools) ScholarshipsThere were 13 scholarships gained by 10 students across 10 subjects.
