Welcome to the 2011 Marist Cricket Carnival. Sacred Heart College in Auckland looks forward to hosting the 39th Carnival, and preparations are well underway.
We are sure that players and visitors will enjoy "crossing the ditch" for this year's Carnival. The College is superbly located near to Auckland's waterfront beaches, and the entertainment and recreational opportunities this provides.
We have confirmed arrangements for the playing fields (click on the field name to view a Location Map):
Keep checking back. We will be adding information to these web pages on a regular basis.

Update - 12 August - Host Families Needed
The purpose of this email is to ask your assistance in billeting the visiting teams. In the Tournament's early days players stayed in boarding school accommodation. In recent years, however the idea of billeting players with local Marist families has been adopted and has proved to be a great success. Visiting Marist players and host families have forged great friendships as a result.
It is our desire that, if possible, we can billet players in pairs with an SHC family (however if you can only accommodate one person please still let us know of your interest).
Your duties as a host will include:
1. Meeting the players at the Opening Mass at SHC on the afternoon of December 6th
2. Dropping the players to their respective field of play each day (either SHC, Cornwall Cricket Ground, or University Cricket Ground).
3. Picking up the players from SHC each evening (all players are transported in buses from their games back to SHC each day for Happy Hour).
4. Providing an evening meal - although the boys are fed at the close of play they will need a top up later in the evening! (lunch/drinks are provided out of tournament funds each day).
5. Saturday 10th is a tournament rest day; teams usually look after their players on this day but you may be required to provide some transport.
It is our intention to try to billet teams in “Suburb Hubs” (eg all players from Sale College will be billeted in the Epsom area), thus allowing for possible shared transport and shared social opportunities.
If you might be able to help us with billeting (ie you can host two boys for the duration of the carnival) please contact Gabby or Jilly at the contact details below, giving your contact details and a note of your suburb.
Closer to the Tournament we will hold a billet meeting to go over details and advise contact details of assigned billets to allow for host families to “meet” their billets prior to travelling via email, Facebook etc.
