Mountain Biking

Introduced in 2020, Mountain Biking offers your boy's the opportunity to be active in the outdoor environment. The club encourages participation across enduro, cross country, and downhill disciplines in mountain biking. There is a social membership and race membership available. The school participates in the Auckland schools mountain biking competition that consists of 5 individuals races around Auckland and 1 teams relay.

Club members are also encouraged to participate in other organised races through out the year which include North Island and National schools championships, Totara Park 360, 440 Enduro, Totara Park summer series and other events as they come up. We also have access to a coach that runs small group training sessions during the year to teach the boys all the core skills of mountain biking. Entry costs to these events are in addition to the club fee paid by members.

A big focus of the club is on the social aspect of the boys supporting each other. There are a number of social rides through out the year where the boys will ride together at one of the parks around Auckland. In addition we organise some out of town weekends in venues like Rotorua. Parent participation is actively encouraged in these rides to help guide the boys around the parks.

We have a small committee group that organises everything, and would encourage any parents wanting to be involved, to talk to the committee to offer your assistance to make these riding experiences better for the boys.

Uniform

We have both cross country and enduro tops available for the boys to purchase. In addition to this the boys wear their own shorts, socks and shoes as relevant.
